ECI invites suggestions from citizens to improve ECINet by January 10

ECINet is the Election Commission of India's (ECI) unified, single-point digital platform/app that subsumes 40+ existing ECI applications and portals (Voter Helpline, cVIGIL, Suvidha 2.0, ESMS, Saksham, KYC App, Voter Turnout App, etc.) [2][3].
ECI has opened a citizen suggestion window via the 'Submit a Suggestion' tab on the ECINet App, open till 10 January 2026 [1].
Relevant for UPSC because it intersects GS-II (Electoral Reforms, RPB/ECI as a constitutional body under Article 324) and GS-III (e-governance, digital public infrastructure).

On 3 January 2026, ECI issued a PIB notice inviting all citizens to download ECINet and submit suggestions by 10 January 2026 through the in-app tab [1].
The trial version was successfully used during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and accompanying bye-elections [1].

Envisaged in March 2025 by CEC Gyanesh Kumar during the Conference of Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs); development announced in May 2025 along with ECs Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi [2][3].
