Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), IndiaAI, Government of Assam and IIT Guwahati Conclude Day 2 of Human Capital Working Group Meeting

A two-day thematic working group meeting (5–6 January 2026) co-hosted by MeitY, IndiaAI Mission, Government of Assam and IIT Guwahati at the IIT Guwahati campus [1][2].

IndiaAI Mission approved by Union Cabinet in March 2024 with an outlay of ~₹10,371.92 crore over 5 years under MeitY (static fact for context).
The mission is organised around 7 Chakras (themes) for the India AI Impact Summit, of which "Human Capital" is one [2].
BHASHINI (Bhasha Interface for India) and NLTM were launched earlier to enable multilingual digital access; now being integrated into the AI Human Capital agenda [1].
