Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari Launches Revamped RAJMARG PRAVESH Portal for Transparent and Faster NOC Approvals

Rajmarg Pravesh is the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) web portal for online application & grant of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for access from National Highways (NHs) to fuel stations, wayside amenities, private properties, rest area complexes, connecting roads and utilities. A revamped version was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on 25 February 2026 to make NOC approvals faster, paperless and trackable. [1]

On 25 Feb 2026, MoRTH launched the upgraded ("revamped") Rajmarg Pravesh portal at rajmargpravesh.morth.gov.in for transparent, faster NOC approvals. [1]
Reinforced via PIB feature (Mar 2026) — "Opening Highways to Opportunities" — projecting it as single-window for Right of Way (RoW) and access permissions along NHs. [2]

Access permissions along NHs are historically regulated under the Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002 and the National Highways Act, 1956; manual NOCs caused delays for petrol pumps/wayside amenities. [2]
Original Rajmarg Pravesh portal existed as a basic e-application interface; the 2026 revamp consolidates multiple approvals (access permission, RoW, OFC/utility crossings) on one platform. [2]
