The fifth edition of Tiger Triumph, a bilateral tri-service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise between India and the US, ended at Visakhapatnam on 5 November 2026. UPSC often asks questions that match a military exercise to its partner country, which makes the name, the partner and the tri-service HADR format testable facts.
- Cheaper Cancer Medicines: What the New Margin Cap Means for Patients
On 17 October 2026, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority capped trade margins on 137 non-scheduled anti-cancer medicines, including patented ones, at 30% of the maximum retail price. This connects to NPPA's role, the Drug Price Control Order (DPCO) framework, and the difference between scheduled and non-scheduled drugs, all of which are frequently tested on Prelims. The 30% cap and the number of medicines are clean facts a question could test.

DRDO flight-tested the quasi-ballistic missile 'Pralay' from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast. Questions on indigenous missiles (type, range, launch site, developer) come up often in Prelims. Pralay's features as a short-range surface-to-surface missile make a good factual hook.
