The Karachi Resolution (1931) was a Congress resolution on fundamental rights and the economic programme. It listed civil liberties, equality before the law, adult franchise (votes for all adults), free primary education, a living wage for workers and state control of key industries. It matters because it foreshadowed, or gave an early version of, Part III (Fundamental Rights) and Part IV (Directive Principles) of the Constitution.
